Hi All,

My Husband flew out to Dubai 2 weeks ago to start his new job! The children (aged 10yrs and 2yrs) and I are planning to fly out mid to late January 2012 once the family visa's are done - we are so excited and Hubby is loving it so far!!

What advice can you give me in terms of socialising? We were looking at living in The Springs but after looking around, hubby has viewed some properties in Jumeirah Village Circle (New Development) and likes the look of them, even though the place is a construction site xx

Construction site just about sums it up. Given the state of the construction industry in Dubai, I wouldn't move anywhere that was less than 100% completed, you could be waiting years....

Welcome to dubai !!!
I agree with sandman.. better you try Marina or JLT

Welcome to dubai,
did you choose the school? Because there is waiting list especially for british school. About where to stay try arabian ranches or motor city it's more "familly area". (I'm real estate agent). Compare to europe you will really enjoy living here, it's a paradise for family... and it's safe!!!!
Drop me an email if you need any advise

Hi,

I'm living in JVC and love it.  Yes, it's a construction site but after a few days you hardly notice it.  There's hardly any noise at all, well not the area I'm in.

It's a lovely community feel to it but as far as activities go you will have to venture out in a car/taxi.  There's a couple of small supermarkets but I never shop there as there's very little choice of food.  I drive to Springs/Meadows area to stock up which isn't that far.

The properties are lovely here but they seem to go very quickly - a bonus is that they're very reasonably priced too.

If you want any further info just pm me.

Good luck with your move. :D

Hi, I think you should consider the greens community or springs. They are nice well built communities in Dubai.
