Phuket for Holidays

Hi,
I'm Oscar I just join the Expat-blog.
I'm based in Bangkok for a year but since I spend mosto of my time abroad I never had the opportunity to visit Thailand.
In January I will be in Phuket for a week and I need to relax.
Any suggestion on which area would be better ?
Nice beaches, nice views.
Karon, Kata, what else ?
People suggested me to avoid Patong, I guess I do.

TNX

I agree with those suggestion

In my opinion If you really wanna take a rest

I suggest Krabi rather than Phuket The people are so kind and you can feel more local

or if you really stand for Phuket try some nights on Phi Phi Island (fantastic beautiful beaches)

and visit James bond's Island

Sorry for out of the topic a bit

TNX Thisislina,
I think I will stand for Phuket, I may go to Phi Phi for a day or two but I was rather looking for a quite area of Phuket, out of the crowd.

I've been in Krabi last year, I was looking for something different.

You know, get out of Bangkok for some days and forget about traffic, noise, stress etc. etc.

You seems quite competent on holidays, thank for your suggestions.

Bye

Hi Oscar,
I think the best area of Phuket is Nai Harn/Rawai in the South. Not so developed, great beach and sea, wonderful sceneries and amazing snorkeling. Skip Kata and Karon as well, they are very touristy. If you need help for accommodation let me know your exact date of stay.
See you in Phuket!
