Greetings everyone my future wife parents are from Chongqing and i wonder if anyone could tell me how the life is there, housing, work etc since i used to live for some time in Guangzhou, as a "lao wei" or foreigner i am curious how hard or easy it could be for me to move with her to this city.

Congrats on your engagement.
I happen to have lived in both Chongqing and Guangzhou. So some basics: GZ being one of the port cities is a lot more developed economic-wise and much more open to international influence. In terms of landscape, Chongqing is in the mountain regions where as GZ is pretty much flat. Food is different. Cantonese food is light whereas Chongqing food is hot and spicy.
