Hello

Hello everyone, I find this site by luck while typing "living in...".
My name is Sergio, I'm a Greek citizen (for now) and this year will be my last at my university (sports science).

Considering my options I thought of moving abroad so Amsterdam and some other cities were my first options. I already have some working experience -currently working as a fitness trainer- and some living abroad experience as a Portuguese citizen thank to Erasmus/Socrates program.

Would language be a barrier in Amsterdam when it comes to working at a gym?

I read some threads from the forum, and find out that approximately 1500€ is an average price for renting an apartment, 300€ for foods and goods, but do salaries match those expenses?

thank you very much!

Hi Sergio,

So good to have Christine.

I wish it wasn't a boring introduction nor too long..
Very interesting site (and links)

just updating, had a really interesting chat with a friend who lived in Amsterdam some years ago, for european citizens it's really easy to move..
Just have an ID card with you- double checked with the embassy, and be willing to learn Dutch..

As far as, jobs and cost of living is concerned I still don't know s#it. Hopefully, the basic salary will be enough for rent and groceries...

Kind regards to everyone,

Goodnight
