Wood Flooring in Vietnam

I originally wanted to post in the "business directory" but could not for the life of me know where to put it. ^^;;

I am looking for a company and/or factory here in Vietnam that specializes in wood flooring. I am looking to purchase specific woods for a company in California.

Maybe you have a company or a friend that has one such a business. Thanks in advance.

Phi Long
Found tons of them in alibaba.com. Select Vietnam and search wood flooring
No experience dealing with any of them.

Thank you Anatta and felicitas. I've contacted over 30 companies here in VN about it already. Some of them were listed on Alibaba among other sites and referrals. I'm weeding out who are just distributors and who actually manufactures the wood flooring. Hopefully I will find what I'm really looking for. Much appreciate both your help.

HI Porishay and Phi we are a Uk and Ireland based wood flooring specialist importing from China for more than 10 years. I am looking for contacts in Vietnam in the wooden flooring manufacturing sector across laminate, engineered and solid wooden flooring. did you track anyone good down? Thanks, Ross Nicholl  / 0044 141 8920022

The new 'plastic' wooden flooring laminate has gained popularity here in VN over the traditional ceramic tile as it is more 'homely' to users and a damn sight cheaper than long-lasting ceramic tiles or marble. Also no cold feet when you get out of bed in the morning.

Another positive thing is that this make-believe wooden laminate flooring uses very little wood, even less than veneered furniture, which is good for the trees.

The bad thing about this laminate flooring is that it is useless in high-traffic areas. I used it in my wife's hotels bedrooms but not in the hallways. Another bad thing, in VN, is that flooring contractors don't seal the floor after installation and, as a result, the ends of the flooring strips are open to attack by water, etc.

VN wood supplies are tightly controlled - the result a forestry policies that restricted timber harvesting and encouraged the development of processing industries that turned raw log imports into finished products for export. We export billions of dollars worth of wood chips - it helps given there is a program to replace 90-million aged coffee trees. So wood is legally available.

We have many tree species here in VN including acacia, hopea, palm, plumeria, thingan or takian. Acacia takes five years to mature whereas hopea takes up to 30 years.

In VN there are a few plants (factories) making this laminate stuff. Their most popular products are acacia and bamboo - both fast growing trees. No hardwood is being used for laminate flooring in VietNam.

Names to look at include Javipacific, Jsc, Nguyen Ton Company, Prosper Joint Stock Company, Sai Gon Dong Duong Wood, Song Thang PTE, Thap Long, Timberez Vietnam, Vi Vi Co. Ltd, Wood Manufacturer Company.

As you are a company you can have your buyer locate the addresses using DuckDuckGo.

Hello!

I have some friends' companies that make wooden floor and furniture to export to European countries.
You can contact me to explain more about what you need.

Regards,
Vi

Thanks for the advice...appreciated!

Hi,
I know it was an old post, but did you manage to find a good flooring factory in Vietnam? Perhaps after a few years you now know the good ones. I produce wood flooring in China, but I am thinking about outsourcing some of my work to Vietnam. I am trying to find a place that does good quality solid European Oak flooring. Grateful if you are able to point me in the right direction.
Regards
Terry
