Hi there! I'm moving to Lagos, Algarve in September... I'd like to rent an appartment i loved via Idealista, the thing is that before I pay anything, i'd like to send some agent or somehting similar to see the appartment and check that everything's OK. Anyone has any reccomendation of this kind of service?

Thanks!

Hi,

What do you mean by knowing if everything is OK? About the contract, the contractual clauses, information about the appartment and the owner? You could contact a solicitor for this.

If you want to see if everything is OK with the house, for example the gas & electricity installation? You can ask the landlord to give you a written guarantee about the inspection carried out by a technician.

Perhaps you might be looking for a relocation agent, who when understanding your needs can go in person to various apartments, see them in person and discuss everything with the landlord. There seem to be all sorts of flavours, from ones specialised in one or two services to full service who do everything you need (immigration, legals, etc. too). So they have their professional team or contacts to use just as JohnnyPT describes above - e.g. lawyer to check the contract. As landlords, several of our D7 tenants for example have used relocation agents for the move, immigration etc. Hope this helps!
