EDIT: I just realized I repeated some things from my introduction. My apologies. I'll try to calm down. Ha!

I  retired last month and moved to Pau France three weeks ago, but I may move elsewhere. I've walked all over this gorgeous city exploring every nook and cranny. In addition, outside of Pau, thus far I've hiked to Jurançon, Gelos, Mazèrez-Lezons, Uzos, and around Lac d'Aressy as well as various day trips by train to Biarritz, Bayonne, Oloron-Sainte-Marie, and tomorrow I'm going to Lourdes. My wish list increases every day. I think I may be addicted to exploring France. My only issue is getting to some far flung places without transportation, but I'm up for the challenge and I can always hike wherever I need to go...until my legs stop working.

Does anyone else travel like this, or does everyone settle someplace and/or get around by car?
