Hello everyone .

I wish to find an answer here since this is very serious..

My 2 years contract to my employer is already finished last February 2024 , I'm on extended to this family because I was arrange to go for vacation . My employers are expat suddenly they need to go exit Saudi Arabia next month ( June ) . I  want to transfer instead of taking my vacation because if I go vacation I have to go final exit for a reason they also leave Saudi Arabia.. and I don't want.  I'd like to transfer to another employer since my contract to them is Finished but they're asking for transfer fee which is high amount , and no can can manage to pay for this transfer fee , now I'd like to know if we go to POLO or embassy to finalise my end to end contract with them since they have to do it because they are also exiting  , if after this process , do I have a right not to come back with them to their house and wait for another employer or company to take me ? My iqama will is valid until December 2024 . I don't want to go exit . I want to my right after termination of contract both sides if I have a right not to come with them and look for another employer  or are they gonna take my iqama with them if I'm not coming with them ?

Hope somebody give me a brief explaining what to do .

Thank you so much .

You have the rights to transfer, but transferring for the new sponsorship is not for free.. your old sponsor should shoulder the transfer fee but in this case you said they are going on exit, then you have no choice but to pay on your pocket if you want to transfer. (And it's expensive and also it depends on your iqama if its  transferable)

@Ravenkiercastillo but they ask for 20 thousand SAR to new employer who wants to hire me . The family interested to take me said. They should only ask for transfer of iqama why they ask 20 thousand sae transfer plus government fee which is for iqama transfer .? Is it right that they ask for transfer fee 20 thousand other than the iqama transfer ? If not right  ? Can I report this case to POLO about they're asking for a transfer fee ?

Since your Iqama isn't expired, then you will need a new ID,  (all transfered employee must be issued a new iqama Actually)  and you will pay for all the government  fees, It's really costly. It's like you are applying for a new visa in the country origin, Actually, my friend  paid 35k SAR  just to transfer, including  the lawyer.  You can go to POLO, but they will tell you to just go back to the country origin and re-apply, and it will also take a lot of time, and you should also prepare money for that.

Also, they  will check your position on your iqama. If it's DH, it will be hard and costly, if company employee then it depends on the company, thats why most of the company  didnt allow their employees to transfer coz it's costly , it should be shouldered by your employer but its costly thats why they always give an exit to emplyee than to pay high amount of money, since your employer is an expat then they are saving their money too..  so it means it is yours to shoulder, It can, but it's difficult unless you have the money to pay for it..

In short, as long as you the have money to pay for all the fees then you can.
