Monorail is new and good, transportation is safe, but look out for pickpockets, taxi cost 8 RMB the first kilometers, buss typically 2 RMB as a one set fee fare, bus lines is only advertised in Chinese, you have to ask. Taxi drivers do not speak English, so ask someone to write the address in Chinese. Generally taxi drivers are very honest in Chongqing.

what about transportation from Nanba Sichuan( I work in Chuangdongbei gas plant) to Chongqing. Is there a train i can take or whats the mode of tranportation? will it be available in 24 hrs?
