@Julien welcome dear ! i am living and working in bahrain since 2019 . it is a nice country . but now it is getting every expensive country for  expats .  Salaries are same like 1990 lol and expenses are  too much . what ever you will earn here ! you will spend here only . lol thats why i will leave bahrain after my contract 🙄. far from families working 12 hours . After that if no saving better to live in my own country . atleast i have own house there . we came here to make life better but it is turning into worst . This is from my own experince . Rest every one have their own beautiful journey . while mine is not . People are nice and Kind here but companies dont increase salaries here .

@Julien my name is michelle, i was living in Bahrain before i got deported because of visa issue and i want know if i can enter bahrain back with another country passport

logicalindian

Try to apply for a visa online if goes through why not, but at your own risk. If anyone recognises and reports you, you will be in deep trouble.

Michelleprecious09

@logicalindian okay thanks but if i enter babrain with another country passport and they did me eye scan at the airport will they find out i was deported before with different passport ?

logicalindian

Usually it's linked to passport but if they have some new tech which can identify then your in trouble.

GuestPoster04021

Is it allowed to resign during vacation or immediately after from vacation according to LMRA rules?

logicalindian

Martin W T

A warm greeting to the members of this forum,

My name is Martin, and I am considering embarking on an exciting journey to relocate to Bahrain in the near future. With 29 years of experience as a professional financial adviser authorised and regulated by the FCA here in the UK, I have had the privilege of guiding numerous clients, including company directors, executives, and professionals in the oil and gas sector, in establishing sound financial planning principles. I am quite keen to know if there is a need for experienced financial advice in the community.

Beyond my professional endeavours, I enjoy exploring different cultures, delving into history, and experiencing new adventures. Traveling has always been a source of enjoyment for me, as it allows me to meet fascinating individuals and broaden my horizons. Experiences hold far more value than possessions for me, and I am eager to immerse myself in the rich tapestry of Bahraini culture and society and the ex-pat community resident there.

In addition to my financial advisory work, I have a diverse range of interests and hobbies. I hold a UEFA coaching license and have over a decade of experience coaching football, from children to pro youth players at a professional club, some of whom have gone on to join Scottish Premiership clubs. Sports play a significant role in my life, and I enjoy rugby, volleyball, badminton, squash, and adventure sports, as well as shooting and sailing. I noted when signing up I was asked for my nationality, I was born and live in Scotland, my father is English, so I have a foot in each camp. When it comes to home internationals, I guess I have always just enjoyed the spectacle and hoped to see a good game.

Accompanying me on this adventure once we are married will be my partner Monika, who shares my enthusiasm for fitness and a healthy lifestyle. She is a highly skilled professional dog groomer, having trained under one of the top recognised poodle groomers in the world. Together, we envision Bahrain as a welcoming environment where we can continue to pursue our passions in a warmer climate.

Our house sale has been agreed. It is likely we will be over in April/May. As we prepare for this significant transition, we would be immensely grateful for any advice, suggestions, or recommendations that members of this community may have to offer. Whether it is insights into housing options, cultural integration, or simply recommendations for places to explore and activities to enjoy, your input would be invaluable to us.

Thank you in advance for your support and guidance. We eagerly anticipate becoming part of the vibrant expatriate community in Bahrain and forging lasting connections with fellow adventurers.

Warm regards,

Martin

Moving to Bahrain offers a mix of challenges and delights. While the job market may be tough currently, the weather is delightful and the locals are amazing and welcoming. You'll find great housing options, and overall, life can be amazing, especially if you have remote work or secure a well-paid job locally. Good luck with your move!

@Rakhee25

True,  the current job offer for expats here isn't up to par, particularly in terms of pay compared to opportunities in Europe, I truly love Bahrain for its people, safety, and the great housing options available. It would be wonderful if there were more opportunities tailored to expats in this market.

@Wmct01

Considerig the best options for expats in Bahrain is owning a company or working online both offer significant advantages. Given the emphasis on quality of life, ease of living, security, and community support. Which specific area are you considering for your venture? While some sectors may seem saturated, there are still abundant opportunities in others. Where do you see your niche fitting in?
