Welcome on board!
Hi, I am travelling back and forth between my home country and Morocco for a year, because my daughter loves it, and I like the countryside view also.
Hello Antybazar,
Welcome to Expat.com
We are happy to hear that.
However, have you thought of the possibility of moving there in the long run?
Cheers,
Cheryl
Expat.com team
Moving in for the long run? No. or not yet. We are here merely for vacation. And no reason for me except for that. But who knows what the future holds. Is there any work project, or investment that might be interesting? or can you suggest a thread for that. Thank you.
@Antybazar
Hello,
I would suggest that you start your own topic on the Morocco main forum so that members settled there may provide their insights on your queries.
All the best

Hello, I'm an American currently finalizing the purchase of an apartment in the Tangier medina -- and I am most eager to meet other expats living in Tangier!
I'll be in town all this coming week, Jan. 21-28, and would love to say hi in person if anyone wants to have a cup of tea with me!
Longer-term, my plan is to spend a couple of months in Tangier later this year, as part of a sabbatical, and then to spend more and more months there each year.....
Get in touch if you're around next week -- or if you simply have tips to share! Chokran et salaam,
Ted

Hello Everybody -
Happy New Year ! (If it's not too late.
My name is James Ward and have been fortunate to enough to have been able to move to Agadir, Morocco on a permanent basis, having initially come for a short holiday back in may.
I consider myself to be very lucky to be able to manage my UK Telecoms Business from here but I am now keen to finally get out of my apartment and meet some other British people who have had the same idea.
I enjoy most sports activities mainly football, volleyball , etc,, and enjoy socialising, Sports bars, pub quizzes and friendly poker !! etc....
Having become recently engaged to a local Moroccan girl, I am also keen to contribute to promoting Anglo - Moroccan relations and generally keep my self busy. I now live in and I am slowly picking up Arabic Moroccan phrases but probably need to speed this up with some lessons.
Any advice help with the above would be very much appreciated !
Shuukran !
James.
p.s. Isn't the weather great in January ?!!

Hi everyone! I’m Sarah (British) and my husband is Moroccan, from Beni Mellal. We currently live in Surrey, UK but have recently purchased a property in Marrakesh Medina and are hoping to move there once we have completed the necessary renovations. Our goal is within the next 18 months inshallah. We are also currently setting up a business so it’d be great to connect with anyone who has experience doing this, and also anyone who can recommend English speaking accountants/lawyers! Great to meet you all

@Julien Hi - Originally from London, UK, I'm looking to settle in Essaouira. Hoping to establish myself in the holistic therapy world, I arrived here in Essaouira via stays in Tangier and Marrakech.
@Julien Hello all! I am not sure if I am considered an expat (moved to Morocco to get married to my Moroccan fiance), but I joined the group to network and meet others who are new to the country. I am a writer working on my first manuscript. I am interested in teaching part-time. Thanks for having me!!
Hello and Salam everyone,
My name is Mohammed and I am new to the Morocco forum. I live in the US and currently in Morocco for vacation and hoping I can find a job in Morocco for a long-term or permanent basis. I have over 18 years of experience in the financial service industry (Fintech and consulting). I am hoping this forum would help me connect with folks in Morocco and maybe connect to employers.
Thanks
@seahorses Essaouira is an interesting choice, beautiful little windy city. I was there during Gnawa festival 2 weeks ago. Best of luck.

Salaam Sarah, I am also british and married to moroccan. Would appreciate if you could DM me the process of purchasing a property as I am looking to purchase one in Marrakesh too. As there are too many scammers in the real estate market so it’s hard and on top dont know the language. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanking you in advance.
@muzzichuzzi
be very careful. even moroccans get scammed in morocco. it’s has become a national disgrace. even the some notaires who suppose yo facilite the legal process are crooks. i am ashamed of it as moroccan living in the uk.
Cheers,
New to the site, American couple settling into Morocco’s Hollywood in Ouarzazate. Retired, I think, tried it once before but it didn’t take. We are both in healthcare, allopathic and naturopathic. Lots of tourists on the street but we are looking to establish community in our new home. It won’t always be so but for now we are pilgrams in a strange land and a little coffee with those going through the same adjustments would be fun.
@Julien Hi there, we are rebuilding an ancient riad in Essaouira medina. Started build in May and hope to move in same time 2025. Would like tips on best internet services etc. TIA
@rvass
