Two of my visa agent friends (in Hà Nội & Đà Nẵng) have just posted the same information on social media, warning that the office of immigration is saying, E-visa processing during February 2024 could possibly take between three and FIFTEEN WORKING DAYS, depending on when the application is submitted.
The official dates for their offices to be closed will be from 8 February thru February 14th, opening again on Thursday & Friday February 15th & 16th, then closed again per normal routine on Saturday & Sunday, February 16th & 17th.
Two things happen EVERY year at Tết:
1. Immigration slows down severely after returning from the holidays, primarily due to the huge backlog of applications submitted when they were closed.
2. Far too many people either wait till the last minute to apply for their visas, OR they try to apply during Tết with unreasonable expectations that their visa will be approved in a few days.
