Hi,
My wife and I are new to this site and will soon be new expats. We're looking at Panama as well as other countries and so are checking out the visa requirements and the various hoops we must jump through.
We know we must have a local lawyer, but are not sure which visa to apply for. In Ecuador, if you'd like to start a business, you can apply for a Corporation visa and the process looks much easier than, say, an investment visa.
Does Panama have anything like this?

You should inform how you want to move.
Are you retired? this would be fastest, easier and cheaper. You must prove your pension, off course but do not need to have the money sent to Panama.
For a busness visa things are bit more complicated but ... are going to make business?

Hi Flavio, i am also looking into moving to Panama. I have been told you pay $800 for the residency card, is that true? Kids under age too?? I am a single mom
