They don't have file cabinets here

I need a file cabinet that can take hanging file folders. They don’t seem to have that here. When I look for file cabinets I mostly get results like this:

https://www.lazada.vn/products/13243748 … from_gmc=1

These are just drawers for pencils and stuff, they’re not big enough and tall enough to hold hanging file folders. But they call these file cabinets.

It’s easy to find expandable file carriers that hold some documents and then fold for transport. But these are much too small and limited for my needs. I need a real file cabinet with at least 2 full size drawers and has rails for hanging file folders.

And I don’t know if hanging file folders are the standard here. I did see one listing on Shopee, but they seem to be very rare.

I also saw what we westerners think of as a file cabinet on one local furniture website. But it was expensive. Too expensive for Vietnamese to use, so they must use something else.

I remember I used to buy plastic crates with hanging file folder rails in western countries. These were very handy, lightweight, cheap, convenient, and they were big enough to hold real documents. But I don't see these here.

How do businesses here organize their documents for quick retrieval? They must have a different way. Does anyone know the answer?

most home and office furnitures in VN are made by hand. you have it made at the cabinet and lumber yards. that is your best bet.

Hoa Phat supply such metal 2, 3 or 4 drawer cabinets. I don't think you will find cheaper.

Thanks. The one at Hoa Phat is the one I saw before. Seems pretty expensive.

And are hanging file folders to fit it even available in VN? And if they are rarely sold, are they very expensive? But if the cabinets are made by hand, what kind of standard is used for the folders? Do they use hanging file folders? And if so, what size? And do they have to make those by hand too, or are they sold in office supply shops?

This seems ridiculous to me. No standard for file storage.

I posted the wrong link earlier. This is the link that shows you what you get with a file cabinet search on Lazada. Mostly just drawer modules that can't hold files.

I think you are being unrealistic..... I just checked the lowest price from the UK cheapest discount suppliers that I used to use and it is 2.15m for a 2 drawer, compared to the list of 2.75m for Hoa Phat.  Note this is list price - I have always found I can get a discount...   I use the Hoa Phat ones for suspension files, no problem.

Maybe Lotte Mart or Mega Market has those?
