My family has bought a villa under the PDS scheme which will be ready by end of December 2023. We have already done our Medical Tests in Mauritius last December and submitted the application to the EDB.
We are confused as to what happens now and when. Are there any members who have got a Residence Permit via the Real Estate route like IRS/PDS etc? If so, can they please help me with the following:
1) How long does it take for the EDB approval to come through (I hear 4 to 6 months after the submission of the application?)
2) Does the EDB inform you by email?
3) Do they ask you to finish the remaining formalities and payment of fees within a certain time? (I heard 90 days)
4) After you pay the fees within 90 days, I hear you are given an appointment when you need to present yourself to validate your documents.
5) How much notice does the EDB give you for the appointment in person?
I am concerned as we aren't in Mauritius at the moment and will need to make a special trip for the personal appointment.
