I am planning on relocating to Mauritius once I get my retirement visa. Upcoming May I am coming to the island for the first time to check out the island and see where I would love to live. As my monthly pension is not that high, will it be possible to rent a nice little house for max. Rs. 23,000 ? I am aware of the fact that the bigger and more touristy towns will be more expensive? For now I don't think that I want to buy a car either and want to rely on public transportation. Wonder how that will work out. Does anybody here have experience in that?
