Hello. Is anyone able to explain what dept I
contact in Sao Miguel to confirm property taxes have been paid? Other than the house address, and our NIF, is there another identification number I need to have before calling that dept? Im currently in Canada. Not heading over there until the new year.

Access this link with your NIF & password at the AT Finanças website, and check the collection notes of the property tax (IMI, imposto municipal sobre imóveis). Choose the year, and if it has status "Pago" in each collection note issued is because it is already paid.
