About the candidate
1. Harvesting: Pick fruits and vegetables at the optimal stage of ripeness, using specialized tools or by hand.
2. Sorting and grading: Sort and grade harvested produce according to quality, size, and color.
3. Packing and loading: Pack harvested produce into containers, bags, or boxes, and load them onto vehicles or conveyors.
4. Maintaining orchard/farm cleanliness: Remove any debris, weeds, or fallen fruits from the orchard or farm.
5. Operating farm equipment: Operate farm equipment, such as tractors, pruning shears, or ladders, as needed.
Skills
1. Physical ability: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
2. Attention to detail: Ability to identify and pick produce at the optimal stage of ripeness.
3. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other farmworkers.
4. Basic knowledge of farming practices: Understanding of basic farming practices, including crop rotation, pruning, and pest management.
