Panama City has been attracting expatriates and investors from around the world, in search of new opportunities. Most of them have settled in the most popular neighborhoods.

Panama City's neighborhoods

Panama City is a developed and fast growing capital. It consists of several neighborhoods, namely Punta Pacifica, Punta Patilla, San Francisco, Bella Vista, Calidonia, Santa Ana or also CurundĂș.

The most popular neighborhoods in Panama City are Punta Pacifica and Punta Patilla. You will find not companies and business centers but also skyscrapers and large residential complexes. Most residential buildings are modern and include facilities such as parking lots, swimming pool, concierge service, etc.

San Francisco and Bella Vista are developing regions, considered to be developing neighborhoods. You will find mostly individual houses and apartments there, as in Santa Ana and Calidonia. Individual houses and villas usually have a garden and a garage.

As for the colonial neighborhoods Casco Viejo and San Felipe, they are constantly undergoing renovations. You will find mainly administrative buildings and new apartments buildings there as these are mainly tourist areas.

There are different types of housing in Panama City: apartments, flats, individual houses, condominiums, etc. These are rather open to foreigners and rental prices are cheaper compared to many major cities worldwide. To find accommodation in Panama City, check out classified ads in local newspapers and real estate websites. However, you are less likely to find cheap accommodation through a real estate agency. The average rent for a two bedroom apartment is around US$ 5,000.
