Move to Cameroon

marcus69

Hi everybody...
I ll move to Cameroon  in the next 2 weeks, finally. I left Nigeria after 5 years. So happy.
I m just worried about language. Cameroon is a French country, and my French is not so "operative".
Is english enough for starter? I will be completely lost without french?

I will be in Douala , import&export company

Hi Mark I guess you are in Cameroon already and though is like 70% french, English is widely understood. I have been in Douala for over 2 years and over 80 can understand English, with over 50% actually speaking. It will not be very hard picking up.

Drop a lne in case you need anything.

Hi,
I don't think that you will be completly lost without french  because in cameroon people speak french and English like North and south .
Cheers!
