Are you curious about food in the Middle Ages ? Master Chiquart, Duke of Savoy's head chef, shares his recipes with you in the Tasty "Mouthwatering" Tour. Try the medieval verrines or the special cuvée and be sure to feed your spirit and your stomach !
Chillon Castle is currently hosting an exhibition called "Mouthwatering. Eating and drinking in the Middle Ages." As part of the exhibition, they are organizing an original tour with a costumed guide.
The visit will start with an amuse-bouche: good table manners and dishes favoured by the nobility and peasants. Next, time to taste some delicious Chiquart-style medieval verrines ! This moment for sharing is a time for clinking glasses and toasting, which is a medieval custom. Finally, visitors can sample the castle's special cuvée…
