Brexit will mean London becomes less international, less multicultural, more closed and narrower in its appeal and scope. No it will not. It will mean the reverse. Because renewed determination to relate across boundaries, take control and flourish will follow any tendency to contain or restrict our city to national anxieties.
This year Voila features an equal number of English- speaking companies and French-speaking ones, all inspired by francophone cultures. We started with London-based companies; this year four companies are travelling from France, one from Belgium and one from Edinburgh.
