It explores home and home life from 1600 to the present day through a series of period living rooms and gardens. Evocative displays of middle-class, London living rooms and gardens illustrate homes and home life through the centuries, reflecting changes in society, patterns of behaviour, style, fashion and taste.
Admission to the museum and gardens is free.
The museum has excellent public transport links, with Hoxton Overground station located directly behind.
