Put yourself on the line: Tri4Change will host our 1st annual super sprint triathlon to raise money for Santa's Surprise. The race will be on December 2, 2018, at 6.00am. The race will be at the IST Secondary Campus.
The race will consist of a 400-meter pool swim, a ten-kilometer bike ride, followed by a three-kilometer run. Easy, right? Doable, yes? The entry fee is $50 USD/110,000 TSH per individual or $75/170,000 TSH for a two-person team (one person does two legs, the other person does the 3rd leg). This is an event that we have done the past 5 years in Beijing, China, but this will be our first year operating in Dar es Salaam. We are very excited for this inaugural community event.
If you would like to volunteer or sponsor, please email as well. We are looking for as much help and support as possible. Sponsors may donate financially to assist with costs or donate goods and services for our lucky draw after the race. For questions, you can also stop by the IST ES Library to chat with Kirk.
Santa’s Surprise is a community project that gives a school backpack to children of 6 different orphanages. The bag contains school supplies, toiletries and a toy. It makes children feel loved to receive such a thing during the Christmas holidays and it is also great timing since school starts in January. This will be the 5th year running but we need your help to put smiles on all of those 300 faces!
