Add your blog!Mira! Soy una daughter, a sister, a dreamer, a poet, an athlete, and a friend. I smile and I cry and I laugh and I feel and I hope. Soy americana, currently living in the state of Anzoategui, Venezuela working at an American school. I spent my youth (or much of it) in Europe: Belgium and then Hungary. I also lived in Bangladesh for a year, and Namibia for a summer. I love mountains and snow, but I am currently living in the land of heat, oceans, and jungles. I am on a mission- to explore the world and leave it a bit better than I found it. I do not plan to save the world, nor anyone in it. Stories of my travels will be shared here.
I am a young woman who moved to Venezuela in 2013 with my company. I have been working in the oilfield since 2011. This industry and style of life has provided me with a unique outlook on the expat life. I enjoyed my time in abroad and I plan to share this experience so that others may discover the unique beauty, culture and challenges that the world has to offer.
The Balanced Melting Pot is about my efforts to keep the pot from tipping over while managing life as an expat in Caracas and 3 different cultures.
