Living the American Dream in Europe

Writing a blog was born out of home sickness and a small personal crisis in our family. My husband and I lean on each other a lot here in Germany, being so far from the home we are used to and the language and people we have grown up with. I don't regularly work as much as my husband does yet, so I decided that I should begin blogging as an outlet to all the thoughts in my head and things I see. Especially since I now feel I am in a much better place reflectively to understand what is happening around me, to me and because of me while I am here in Europe. My husband and I often say that we are living the American dream in Europe now. I am very interested in American culture, especially as it is seen through the eyes of foreigners and learners of English, so I write about that part of my expat experience too.
