I grew up in Labrador, Canada. In 2006 I graduated from University In Newfoundland. Since 2006 I’ve been working as an ESL instructor in Korea. This site started as a blog. Eventually it grew into this site. In addition to the blog, I’ll be posting Korean and ‘Blatch’ recipes, there will also be a section forthcoming on hiking, and maybe even a tips page on moving to and living in the land of the morning calm. I hope you enjoy it.
It is a collection of my thoughts and Ideas and my vision to our life.
I'm Chris Backe - like most foreigners in Korea, I teach English as a full-time job / source of income. When not teaching, however, I travel, write, and am otherwise exploring the dynamic society that is Korea. I make it a point to see one new place every week, as well as tell you about what's going on this side of the Pacific. Have a question about Seoul / Korea / coming to Korea? Ask away at chrisinsouthkorea AT gmail DOT com.
