Hello all! I am not an expat yet but working on being one...in Spain. For now, looking to visit Cadiz (been there a few times before). I know I can only visit Spain without a visa for 90 days. I am hoping to establish residence there...but not sure yet exactly where in Spain. I like Andalucia region...but I am curious about the "green zone" up north. I am hoping to make the trip early Spring...in about a month or two, I suppose. I would like to touch base with an American expat in Cadiz or El Puerto de Santa Maria. Anyway, is it possible to get a longer-stay visa while in Spain? Or would I have to leave Spain to go to a non-Schengen country...then return to start another 90-day stay? Thanks...appreciate your input.
