Does anyone know how difficult it would be to get a multi entry / exit visa for my wife? She will be joining me in December but will be traveling to the UK, France, and China to see some of her college friends over the next several months after that. Does she have to get permission from my company for this, or just from me?

Jyurong - Touch base with whoever is processing your paperwork and ask them. I have a 5 year multi-entry visa. Not sure they give those out any more, but you can ask.
