My friends and I planned and booked this weekend to party in Bangkok this weekend just to find out the sale of alcohol is prohibited due to a buddhist holiday. It's a bit late to change our tickets and we're also flying in from different countries.
What are we to expect? Is everything going to be closed?? Is there anywhere we can go for beers during the night??? And if not what else is there to do????

You picked a bad weekend to party in Bangkok. You may find a few bar/restaurants open but I doubt go-go bars will open.
