I have been in Thailand for 2 years and want to let everyone know that the NZI health Insurance is a waste of time and money. They pay almost no claims; better to self insure than waste the annual fees that can reach $5K.

Thanks for the information Jim, I am about to relocate to Thailand and health insurance is one of the items i am working on.

Does anyone recommand a private insurer, (that works well)

You are positively right !

We insured ourselves with NZI for a high premium over 100k baht per annum believing we were secured.....! How far from the truth. Never again with NZI. Does anyone have a good recommendation for Health Insurance, especially hospitalisation.
