Looking to Communicate Canadians Living in Costa Rica

Hello, first blog here. My family along with another family, both from Sudbury, On are travelling to Costa Rica next month and hoping we find a new place to call home. I am very interested in hearing from other Canadians that have recently made this transition or are in the midst of doing so. We are all tired of the Canadian way which used to be the ony way and many were envious of what we have/had and I guess compared to many we are still perceived this way. Anyways not to babble on too much I would love to hear from you.

Thanks All

Hi Teed,

Welcome to Expat-blog! :)

I hope you get replies very soon.

Hello, and welcome!  Although I'm not Canadian, I can recommend attending the ARCR 2-day seminar on how to move to and live in Costa Rica - full of info, and you will definitely meet other Canadians there :-).  You can find more here: http://arcr.net
Also, Casa Canada is fairly active here, sponsoring events such as Canada Day, Thanksgiving, etc. (that organization is affiliated with ARCR).
If Alajuela is on your list to visit, see Mike at Riverside Apartments (http://www.riversideaptscr.com) - Canadian.
Also, there is a Canadian (Quebecois) community in Ojochal on the South Pacific coast - see Renee and Pierre at http://www.diquiscostarica.com/
good luck, and enjoy your adventure!
Julie

Thanks Julie this is helpful info.
