Americans in Reunion?

Hi I'm French and I work for French Education and I'm going to move to Reunion soon with my American boyfriend.

I 'd like to know if you think he can find a job ( he speaks French fluently) and then get a work visa easily.

Are foreigners welcome by the population there?

I'd like to be in touch with expats to hear about your experience on the island.

I'm British and spent 17 years on Reunion. (Currently living elsewhere, but moving back there in a few months).
Foreigners are welcome on Reunion so that's not a problem, however you don't say what sort of work your boyfriend will look for. Teaching English ? It it's that he WILL find jobs but probably piecemeal, not something that would enable him to get a work visa.
