Can someone please advise me re shipping personal effects from the uk to tenerife i have been told that you need to prove residency before customs will clear the packages please can anyone clarify this

Hello,
For shipping and receiving personal and other goods is enough with NIE code, but if you want to not pay the custom for personal belongings, you should make the residence there .
