Receiving Pension

I have set up an account with a German bank, however; my US bank & credit union both say they can't deposit my pension into my German account.  What step do I seem to be missing??

From most reasonable banks in the USA (and in fact worldwide) you can send international (wire) transfers to Germany.
If your bank does not offer such service, it might be time to change!

Excellent idea but not helpful in a technical manner 🙄. Sub custodianship plays a factor in some banking arenas and while you may live in a huge metro area not everyone does so my choice if banks is quite limited. Pretty sure my current bank would have thought of this. Thanks anyway!

No idea what that should mean???

Even if you do not want to hear or accept it, it works like this:
1. Money arrives in your USA account.
2. You initiate (by Internet banking or post) a wire transfer to your German account.
3. Money arrives in your German account.
The whole thing takes a few days and a reasonable fee. Try it!
