Once you've bought your new stove and fridge, how is it delivered and installed? Is this an optional extra when you purchase the items, or do you need to make your own arrangements?

I'm in David. I bought applicances at DoIt Center and they delivered them the next day, showed up when they said they would, set up everything and were extremely helpful. A couple years ago we bought a freezer from a store downtown. They also arranged for delivery and it showed up when it was expected. If a store doesn't offer delivery on a large item I imagine you could ask them to call a pickup truck taxi to help you. Many people here don't have cars so there has to be ways to get things done. People are also very helpful to each other, which makes living here really nice.
