I am moving to Mexico on a fairly limited budget but looking for a small beach town where I can moor a small sailboat.

Check out towns on the sea Sea of Cortez. Both Baja and the mainland hold a number of possibilities. There is also The whole Pacific Coast. Just be aware that there is a hurricane season in many of the Southern regions of Mexico that you must prepare for if you chose to live in one of the affected areas.

Thanks, I am looking at Punta Banda and San Felipe and then perhaps starting at Cabo and working north. Probably picking the Gulf for the winter.

Last year Cabo had a hurricane, so don't assume they all occur on the east coast because they don't. The Westcoast has them also and will probably have more in the coming years. Even Hawaii is a target
