Have a meetup?

So I have moved back to Kuwait for a year before heading off to Canada. I'm really disappointed with the fact that there isn't much to do here. I lived in UAE for a few years and it was pretty easy to make friends there. Every week there would be some social event that you could go to and meet like-minded people but here I can't find anything. meetup.com for kuwait is so empty lol literally there are only a couple of social groups still active on that page.
Is anyone here having similar problems? I was wondering if we could get together a couple of people and arrange a meetup somewhere. Unfortunately there isn't really much we can do in Kuwait so the meetup can probably only take place at a restaurant or some sheesha cafe. Let me know if you're interested! Thanks
