Hello

I would like to find out if it is possible to get a Mauritian passport if my grand parents were born there? My mother unfortunately was born in SA and went back to Mauritius when she was 4 mths old. She lived in Mauritius until she was a teenager and then came back to SA for schooling.

She can get her Mauritian passport but I don't know if it is possible for me to apply?

Hello

If your Mum was born in SA, you won't be entitled for Mauritian citizenship to get the Mauritian passport afterwards.
Your Mum was able to get it through Jus sanguinis : a principle of nationality law by which citizenship is not determined by place of birth but by having one or both parents who are citizens of the state
