Hello Aldi,

I hope that other members will be able to help you out soon in finding an accountant familiar with tax filling.

Regards

I do not know much about the Belgian tax system, but have filed taxes while living outside of the US, in the US. If you have specific ?-s post here and I will se if it is something I had to deal with.

Hello!!!
Thanks for your time.
Im register at BCE(Banque Carrefour des Enterprise)where i pay the social security and other taxes every 3 months in the amount of 656 euros.Ihave an enterprise number and a TVA number also.
I know that the deadline for filing is JUNE 15 for our U.S. taxes but im paying social security here and my question is: I will be taxed by both U.S. and Belgium?
I still have the address back home in NEW YORK and an accountant whom i used untill i left.
If i send him the papers, they all in french and i dont know where hes gonna start from, and after whats gonna happened with the belgium(IRS) because they already sent me the forms to file for the fiscal year 2010.

Best Regards
ALDI

Here is the information you are looking for: http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,, … 76,00.html

Depending on how long you've lived outside of the US and what your income is, you may not have to pay any tax. You have to be outside of the US for at least 330 days within a year, not necessary calendar year, and your income is <$91,400. In the link I posted here, you will find the forms and all the information, it is very easy to do your tax yourself if you do not have a ton of deductions.

Dear,

Did you manage to find a contact ?
As an American citizen living and working in Belgium I've heard that I have to fill the IRS documents as well and I did not do it yet...

It would be very helpful if you have a contact :)

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

The thread you are responding to is over 6 years old and I suspect you won't get an answer.  You may get a better response if you start a new thread of your own.

Hope this helps.
