Advise on where to move in Spain

Hi,

I'm planning on moving to Spain and am hoping I can get some advise on an area to live from people's experiences. I was thinking of Madrid originally because of job opportunities but I've started a new role working remotely so now I can go wherever. And its opened up so much more choice! I love the sea and hiking. I'd like a good size city, and as I'm moving by myself (from London) a place where I have a good chance at meeting people and making friends through social and community activities. I don't speak Spanish or Catalan but definitely plan on starting language classes. Any advise would be really helpful.

*
Alicante province:

*
Murcia province:
Cartagena, La Union, Mazarrón
*
Almeria province:
Almeria capital, El Ejido, Roquetas de Mar

Here in Barcelona, it's the architects who built the buildings that made the city iconic who are the objects of admiration – not a bunch of half-witted monarchs. , Welcome in barcelona
