Import your pet to Timor Leste

Hi there !

I want to import my dog to Timor Leste and would like to know how difficult the procedure is and how long it would take to bring my furry friend home ?
Please also share your experience if you already live with pets in Dili !

To take your dog to Timor Leste you need a pet passport which includes an import permit, proof of microchip, rabies vaccination, blood test and vets check up.

Permit from Timor Leste authorities as far as I know.

You would need to find which airlines fly into TL and contact them as to whether they take pets.
The problem you may have is that there are no direct flights from Portugal to Dili and so you would have to have 3 different flights with stopovers or transfers.

You could look at flying into Bali Indonesia and then to Dili or fly into Darwin Australia and then across to Dili.
