It will probably depend on where you plan to reside. It wouldn't make much sense to get insurance in San Ignacio if you are living on a caye or in Corozal.

Most auto insurance in Belize is 3rd party only Comprehensive is available but (imho) prohibitively expensive. We use RFG they seem to have offices in all areas. I think there is an insurance office at the Mexico Belize border for those importing or touring Belize Foreign purchased vehicles.
