Can you send some more info on the product.
We do have plenty of hard ware shops selling chinese stuff and not of good quality.
If your products are really that good and price is competitive...
The best way to proceed is to make some well known hardware wholesalers your representative.

To open a hardware store, you will need an Occupation Permit as an Investor.

The conditions and requirements are as follows:

An Initial transfer of USD 100,000 and the business activity should generate an annual turnover of at least MUR 2 million for the first year and cumulative turnover of at least MUR 10 million for the subsequent two years.

Now, regarding your hardware business, it must be something innovative dealing in materials, technologies and business models not found locally as the authorities might think twice about granting you a permit if you will be in direct competitions with local businesses.

You must submit your detailed business plan to the Board of Investment in Mauritius together with your application for a start. Your plan must stress on the value-added prospects that your business will bring to the island.

If your project is approved, then you can start making further arrangements with local authorities for the setting up of your store.

Obviously, the best area to set up a store is in and around the urban regions close to where most people live and/or commute to.
