Good Paediatric Gastroenterologist in Kuala Lumpur???

Plz guys, I'm desperate for help.
I know I've posted this before and nobody replied but I don't have any other option than to write again. My son suffers from Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
I need a good pediatric gastroenterologist for his regular treatment.
When I came to KL last time we took him to Dr. Christopher Boey Chiong Meng, who couldn't give us much information even though he's highly respected as a pediatric gastroenterologist in KL.
So, I'm looking for other people... patients, doctors anyone with whom I could share my story and hopefully get to know some good doctor or pharmacy where I can get the meds or a good hospital.

Please help me if you can. IBD is a chronic disease. Only those who suffer from it actually knows what one has to go through

There are lots of databases showing who is working in specialist medical fields including the Register of  Specialists. My suggestion is to choose one that is primarily trained overseas.

My second suggestion is to see the Functional Medicine specialist in KL as this is the latest development in medical care.

Thirdly there are modern tests available to determine the irritants and people working with probiotic therapies.

Gravitas, thank you.
I had gone through this website before. Sadly, 2 of the overseas trained doctors I've been to weren't up to my expectations.
Could you please give me any link to medicines available in Malaysia? I'm looking for Polyethylene Glycol 3350 and Mesalazine. I can't find info regarding the availability of Polyethylene Glycol 3350 in KL.
I need to know if they're available/ locally made. If they're not available I'll need to take supplies with me to KL or find a way I can have them delivered in KL

I'll see if I can check but do be aware you will run into problems if trying to bring large quantities  or unregistered phama into Malaysia. It's considered drug smuggling if more than one months supply is carried

Here is the address for the Mims Database

Mesalazine

Gravitas, I had checked these links before. You see I've been desperately searching for relevant information. If something's not mentioned in these links does it mean it's not available?
Gosh, I wish I knew some pharmacy where I could call and ask.
Could you please give me more details about carrying a large number of prescribed drugs in a luggage? This sounds scary, I'm definitely carrying them solely for my son's treatment and nothing else.. are prescriptions enough to convince the authorities?

Well you should probably stop wasting time on this forum and contact relevant qualified people.

Hi. May I know how old your son is? I'm a paediatrician with gastroenterology interest recently returned from UK after being there for 19 years. I know that there is a paediatric gastroenterologist called Dr Nazrul at Sunway.
In Malaysia there isn't any macrogol 3350 (movicol/laxido in Uk). They have Forlax which is macrogol 4000. In Malaysia it's only licenced for above 6 yrs old but have been used off licence in kids >2 yrs. mesalazine or similar 5-ASA is widely available in Sunway and Subang Jaya medical centre where I practice. Hope this will help  you get the help you need for you son.
Best wishes.

Thanks a lot for the response! Much appreciated!

Hi, My son also have Crohn's disease. If you don't mind me asking, how is your son now? And what treatment did your son got?

Hi, i know this is an old post but I am also looking for a good pediatric gastroenterologist who has an experience in treating encopresis in children. I am wondering if anyone else has an encopretic child and has any suggestions or recommendations? We have been battling this for over 4 years and are at our wits' end. Thanks
