Best season to move to Malta

Hello,

Many expats choose to move to Malta at a specific time of the year, and we invite you to share some tips about the best seasons to move to the country.

What is the best season/time of the year to move to Malta, and why?

How do rent prices fluctuate based on the different seasons?

Is there a change in the job market depending on the seasons, such as job availability?

Are there any seasonal festivals or cultural events that would allow you to learn about the country?

What are the times of year to avoid for expatriation to Malta?

During which season did you move? How did it go?

Thank you for sharing your experience,

Priscilla

We moved over here at the end of March five years ago which to us seemed a good time as we had found a property to rent the previous December when the choice was better.    The times to avoid are the summer months as more properties are rented out as holiday lets and therefore the availability is limited.
If you move over in the cooler months it gives you time to get climatized, to move over in a month like August must be awful, not just the heat but the number of tourists around that's when Gozo is extremely busy especially in Victoria as a lot of Maltese come over then.
Another reason to move out of season is that you may get a better rental deal.
