i just got my TRC, and to my surprise its just a laminated "card" with all the correct info on it, i was expecting a credit card style card. can anyone enlighten as is this a genuine TCR

Is it blue, have your photo one it with all your correct information? If so, then it sounds genuine.

Yes, its just a laminated light blue / white card.
Even my country ("Passport of:") is misspelled on my TRC. 
I returned the card to the visa agent and after a few days I got back the same TRC.
The visa agent said my country is stored like this in the gouvernment's computer system. He said not to worry about it. If there would be any problems, I could call him.
But so far nobody hasn't complained at passport control about the misspelled country.
