From Toronto to Changsha!

Hi everyone,

I have just arrived in Changsha to live here for the next 4 months and teach english at a private school.
I am definitely a mix of nerves and excitement, thought I would post on this page to say hello and maybe meet people in similar situations. So far the culture shock has been slightly overwhelming, but I am excited to see how the rest of the summer continues. I am struggling with the independence factor of not being able to go to a store and order what i want, and have a weird fear of being ripped off haha.

If you have lived here or are living here and have any advice, tips, (maybe somewhere I can eat some pasta ) please reach out! I'd love to make new friends, and exchange experiences.
