I believe that bikes can't go on certain roads towards Vung Tau, so am I right in saying that it will take an eternity to get there?
Bus wise, I can only find one that goes to Vung Tau and will then have to get a taxi back up to Ba Ria.
Does anyone know of any buses that stop enroute? Alternatively, just a faster way of getting there.
I've looked at the Grab option, but that isn't feasible from a cost to reward perspective.

You don't say which side of Saigon you are on.
Options by bike.
Go through Cat Lai, catch the ferry, follow the traffic. Turn right at AH17 and head to Ba Ria. Time 2-2.5 hrs.
Go to the Bien Hoa- Vung Tau traffic circle in Bien Hoa, turn right, follow the AH 17 all the way to BR. Time 2-2.5 hrs
