Successes in your career in China

Hello,

Becoming an expat means starting over in a new country, and a lot of times that also means starting over in your career as well.

How have your skills and experiences evolved since moving to China?

What does being successful in your career mean to you?

Can you share some tips about what to do and what to avoid in order to advance in your professional career in China?

Can you share an inspirational career story with us?

Did you have to change careers or adapt your career to fit the job demands in China?

How do you balance a successful career with your personal and social life?

What are the benefits of having work experience in different countries?

Thank you for sharing your experience,

Priscilla

Yes sure, i'd like to share my experience with the others. Just tell me where to send it.

Hello Tiziano,

Well you can post your experience here itself in a comment so that members can read and benefit from your comment.

Thanks in advance,
Bhavna

I can only comment on teaching. Many inexperienced teachers are unfortunately duped into working at training centres or kindergartens. Even though they pay well, the hours are long and holidays are limited.

It's much better to work for government run primary, middle and high schools. The schedules are light, they run a set curriculum, there is more job security and 2 months holidays in the summer and 2 months holidays in the winter.
